We hope you have all had a very lovely Christmas and New Year and are settling nicely along into 2012!

We’ve been busy working on our Valentines cards for you all to get the best and most funny personalized Valentines card they will ever have the pleasure of receiving!

Now, we are back to show you our latest hand-picked range of the week which is none other than our hugely popular Trading Faces greeting cards range!

This greeting cards range is one that is incredibly special to us at Moonpig as we’ve worked extra hard to come up with the technology for you all to be able to create funny greeting cards like this on
our site.

Cards in the Trading Faces range allows you to upload photos saved on your computer or photos from your facebook and Flickr accounts. Once you select the card that you would like to use on your Trading Faces card, our tools will come up where you can select the face you would like to put into the card.

Now, let’s show you how you can make this card all your own!

Here is a sample of one of our Trading Faces cards:

First, you will be asked where you would like to upload a photo from. I am going to choose a file I have saved on my computer.

This is going to be the picture I use to create a trading face card.

Now that I know what picture I am going to use to create this card, I can start to get to work! Once I upload the photo, the following screen will come up with Moonpig’s personalization tools.

Now, I can use the brush and erase tools to select the face I want to insert into this greeting card like so:

Now that I have selected the face to put in the card, I simply have to hit ‘save’ and Moonpig will show me a preview of what the face will look like:

Once I press ‘save’ once more, Moonpig will automatically place the face into the picture where I can then scale and it and play about until I am happy and the final cover is ready!

Voila! The final product!

Now, of course with all Moonpig cards, I would then be able to personalize the inside of the card and write my own little message to my recipient.

After stepping back last week to mention our special promotion that ran on Living Social, we are back to tell you all about our latest greeting card range of the week.

While last week’s greeting card range of the week was none other than our fabulously British ‘Keep Calm’ range, the greeting cards range this week is none other than that of one of our absolute favorite photo humor greeting card ranges in the office: Two Fat Gherkins.

This greeting cards range is incredibly bold and features a mix of both color and black and white photos that are framed against some very suggestive, highly inappropriate yet insanely funny text. In fact, one of our most popular greeting cards available on Moonpig.com comes from this range.

While these greeting cards are not our photo upload cards and already come equipped with their own outrageous images on them, you will find that you can personalize them by adding the name of the recipient to the card. When the card is received either directly or through the mail, you can rest easy knowing that the very lucky person to receive a Moonpig card from you will be laughing a very healthy amount from your bold card.

Range of the Week: Keep Calm

Greetings fans of Moonpig!

We are back again to bring you our favorite greeting card range of the week and this week it will be none other than our popular ‘Keep Calm’ range.

Some Examples of our Fabulous Keep Calm Cards!

Maybe you’ve seen the popular catch phrase ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ printed on a traditional red background with capitalized white letters like in the photograph above. While this phrase continues to be iconic and has become a very common motif in the modern age especially after the world has come to find itself in a compromised economy, ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ was originally brought about by the British Government in 1939 in a campaign to keep up the morale of UK citizens during World War II.

Now, however, this phrase has been brought back with fury in the UK and its influence has spread far across the world with many spoof catch phrases coming about in the same style.

Here at Moonpig, we loved the simplicity owned by the Keep Calm design and motif and couldn’t resist the idea of allowing our amazing customers the chance to create their own unique greeting cards that play off of this design.

As you can see in the banner above, these greeting cards can make great birthday cards with sayings like ‘Keep Calm, you’re only 30’ or ‘Keep Calm and Keep Calm and Party On’!

To show you how you can personalize one of these greeting cards, let’s use the Keep Calm card we made for Thanksgiving that says ‘Brian, Keep Calm and Get Stuffed’. If you wanted to personalize this greeting card, you could insert the name of the person you’d like to send it to. For instance, if you wanted to get one for your Aunt who was hosting a Thanksgiving meal, you could change the name from Brian to Aunty Sue… or whoever you like! See the images below to illustrate:

Another thing to mention is that for age cards like the one below which reads ‘Jeremy Keep Calm You’re Only 18’, you could change the name and age on this card. So, if it happens to be your friend Sara’s 25th birthday, problem solved! Just simply use our customization tools and Sara’s birthday card is taken care of! Brilliant!

Last week’s range of the week was our fabulous Limelight card range where you can create personalized greeting cards by putting your friend or family member’s name in the spotlight. We hope you all got the chance to have a look over our limelight greeting cards, but if you haven’t gotten the chance to do so yet, there’ s no need to worry as you will always be able to find these cards here.
